Time Traveler Records is one of the very few independent, brick-and-mortar music stores still standing in Northeast Ohio.
For over 40 years, Time Traveler has been well known around Akron — and the country — by discerning music collectors of hall genres. What started as a little shop in the living room of a house blossomed into a 3,000 square foot, jam-packed record store on State Rd. in Cuyahoga Falls, boasting thousands of CD's and DVD's. Customers from all over the country would make it a must-visit stop when in Ohio.
Some notable customers and visitors who’ve shopped with us over the years include Sarah McLachlan, Johnny Winter, Dan Auerbach & Patrick Carney (The Black Keys), The Avett Brothers and many more.
Surviving the turn from CD to digital, the store now resides in downtown Akron and is one of the longest surviving original record stores in the country. Time Traveler still stocks thousands of CD's — new, used, vintage, rare and out of print as well as new vinyl and a massive amount of used vinyl.
